To encourage more people to get involved in the sport of tennis, The Club at Pradera is opening its summer tennis program to both members and non-members. There are programs available for youngsters (5-9 years), juniors (9-12 years), teens (13-18 years) and adults. You don’t have to be a regular player to take part. The program has classes for all ability levels from beginners to experienced players. In addition to instructional courses, there will also be tournaments and socials/mixers.
Barry Riddle is the head tennis professional at The Club at Pradera. A native Coloradoan, Barry attended Northglenn High School, where he played tennis and basketball. Barry earned a business/recreation degree at the University of Northern Colorado and was a scholarship tennis player. Following college, Barry was head tennis pro at the Colorado Athletic Club West and Evergreen Athletic Clubs. He also managed several area athletic clubs, taught racquetball and squash, and has been a top-ranked racquetball and squash player. Barry has been teaching and coaching tennis for over thirty years. Barry and his family won the Colorado Tennis Family of the Year Award in 2010.
